Pale yellow buds open to small white flowers, produced freely in clusters. Strong clove-like fragrance. Bunches of small, orange, egg-shaped hips in autumn. Strong growth, with long, arching stems, greyish leaves and hooked yellow thorns. Can also be grown as a shrub.
